Permitting Information

Please know that we are a small township with no full-time staff.  The Planning Commission and Town Board meet once a month.  Timing of a building permit application is key and if a late addition to the meeting agenda cannot be made, permits can be reviewed up to 60 days.  Permit forms and plan submittals must be complete including all documentation (plans, site plans, application, etc. before it can be reviewed at the Planning Commission meeting of which is held once a month. 

 

Land use permits requiring public notice and outside review by the township planner and or engineer require additional time.  A public hearing date will not be scheduled until the application is determined to be complete and legal noticing requirements can be met.
